Comment:
Hard to explain how the pieces fell together, but they seem to work together despite their seeming sonic incongruence. At least, that's my verdict after several listens. These are bits and pieces that have been on the desktop awaiting to be subsumed and integrated into the larger collection. Some are new artists, some chestnuts from favorite bands and artists in a new format. The Madonna track, for example, was downloaded in a fit of curiosity. It's actually pretty OK and fits with The B-52s quite well. I can dance to that! And we finish up at the nearest pub with a pint provided by Ron Sexsmith. Cheers!Feedback:
Mixes are meant to mix it up, in my book. This one looks like a fun listen.
My favorite bit would have to be the Brazilians going into the Band. Let's have another round!
Thanks for the constructive comments. You make folks want to keep contributing! I'd like to figure a way to upload this, but ... grrrrr. And, indeed, there's a lot on the desktop. Be careful what you ask for!
Terrific title, masterful mix.
Good stuff!
Some good chestnuts here. And a fine wayward approach to mixmaking on display.
A lot of times, more than not, things just go together better than imagined.
