Comment:
Well, this is it, a 6 disc "box-set" compiling the different ways a band in the 70s could be "hard & loud". You'll find straight-ahead 70s rockers, hard-psych goodies, a bit of proto-metal, good ol' doom, power trios, deliciously hard prog-rock, pre-NWOBHM rawkness, Deep Purple-ish shadings, Sabbath overtones, self-pressed obscurities... and most importantly, picks from all over the globe (well, not really, mainly US & UK, with a few artists from countries such as Australia, Japan, Germany, Greece and Belgium). I beg your pardon if you don't find a particular song or artist.Feedback:
Oh, yeah! THIS was heavy metal before it got homogenized in the music factories. Looking forward to the next disks in this series.
Great idea! I haven't heard a lot of these, but I really like the Simply Saucer album.
This is fuckin' amazing. Seriously. Is there a link available for this?
Awesome! And, to think there are 4 Discs to come! I'm all a-tingle.
some really great stuff here - can't wait for the next four discs
No pardon to beg of anyobdy, fantastic overview. Will there be a d/l forthcoming?
yes, the post with discs 5 & 6 will hopefully come with d/l links for all the set :)
Holy moly, this is something else.
trettiosriga kriget!!!
Amazing. While I was alive and somewhat awake during this period, I'm embarrased to say that I'm unfamiliar with many of these artists. Will look forward to the d/l.
Mind-blowingly heavy. Bring on the next four!
Like everybody else, I have to say "> This looks really well done.
