In The Key of F (As in Funky), Vol. 3 (Fast Beat Mix)
Comment:
A favorite song on this mix is track 15, which barely made it onto the top Pop 100 ch_art list and wasn't included on the R&B list. A cover of the song by Grand Funk Railroad did make it on the R&B list at #85 in 1975 (which was then a #3 hit on the Pop ch_arts). The mix is 63m51s in length. The picture is of The Marvelettes which dominated this mix with three tunes.Feedback:
The Marvelettes were truly marvelous, inspiring The Beatles, who covered their "Mr. Postman", and surviving numerous lineup changes. Your photo shows them as a trio, which they were from 1965 on, after their initial years as a quartet and a quintet. Obviously, they were Funky, but chic (as the New York Dolls say). Thanks for another great series to follow your B series. What key is next? Waiting with bated breath . . .
My favorites are all the ones I know and my new favorites will be all the ones I don't, thanks a million, sir!
Wow, Joe ... this latest trio of funk-key mixes is fantastic in how it drifts between decades and includes the familiar and fringe hits.
What a great series. Bravo, Joe. Fine tracks everywhere..
yeah, really, terrific series - what a great effort
All three of these mixes look fantastic, but this has got to be my favorite...

I love that intro.
