Comment:

The title comes from the Two Gallants track while the resolution comes from the quote by Nathaniel Hawthorne. "What other dungeon is so dark as one's own heart! What jailer so inexorable as one's self!" And on that buoyant note, the mix from e.buster and avocado rabbit came together.

For me (the rabbit), this mix was especially pleasurable due to the drawn out nature of many of the songs. I was able to find a couple new (to me) bands that I liked enough to search out their CDs, and that's at least part of what this is all about. The other part is the collaborative process, and for this I am grateful to have such a terrific partner. Stay tuned for the second installment.

Holy cow! Dark indeed. I love, love, love Butch Hancock. Great track and great sandwich. Interesting artists surroundding him. Familiar artists -.- Hancock, Bowie, Me'shell, Yo La Tengo -.- prompted me to download. Now I am intrigued by these new artists. Selfishly, I wish this were in separate files. Now I'm going to have to do some shopping. Listened to it TWICE after downloading and am dure to listen to it much more in the futures -.- all of 'em near and distant. Also left a little note on the MAS blog for ya.

I listened to this last night. I loved a lot of these songs, some of which I have never heard before. I'm really going to have to check out Lambchop. Well done.
