Comment:
Kind of thrown together at the last minute out of parts of a couple of other unfinished mixes, just for shits and giggles, or whatever....I quite enjoy it, as does the recipient. Minstry and Wire songs were both cut for time.Feedback:
There's some stuff I love and some stuff I hate on this mix, but they way they fit together is pretty damn cool. Rush, Patti Smith and Chuck Berry on one mix. Excellent... :)
Way too metal for my own taste, but otherwise some interesting variation. However, the concept of "cutting a Wire song for time" strikes me as funny. You could fit, like, 8 songs from Pink Flag in place of one of those you kept. Just saying.
Now this is incredible! I love a good portion of what you've put in this mix (BOC, Motorhead/Girlschool, Dio, Joey Ramone, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Germs, Patti Smith). I haven't actually heard the Sonic Youth number, but I know that it's a William Burroughs reference! Overall, I am very impressed!
"Dr. Benway's House" is basically one minute and seventeen seconds of feedback and strange noises, but I enjoy that kind of thing...it also feeds well into the Primus track. I must get around to reading William Burroughs...
Chuck, BOC & Leadbelly are alright in my book.
