Comment:

Most of us probably know Martin Freeman for his portrayal of Tim Canterbury in the British version of "The Office." In an article a few years ago, Freeman mentioned songs that played frequently on the set. He's a huge fan of Marvin Gaye ("His voice is a reason to get up in the morning."), and Carleen Anderson with the Young Disciples. "Her songs make you fall in love with her and wish you were 20 again." This mix is a compilation of some of those "Office" songs.
And here's the quickie quiz to win a free copy with artwork of the mix, delivered to your door. What is assuredly Freeman's second most prominent role?

Even after finally being won over by the American Office, the original is still hands-down funnier in my book. One of the funniest things I've ever seen, in fact. And apparently, their on-set soundtrack kicked ass as well. Great stuff!

I would say as Arthur Dent, a match made in heaven, much like this playlist.

And I would add to Brother Funky's comment that Martin Freeman for me is the biggest difference between the UK/US versions. There is no comparison between Jim and Tim, and it is Martin's subtlety as an actor that seals the deal for me.

Odd how such good music can accompany the realistic humor that makes me cringe in pained sympathy for all those hapless souls.
