Laughing At the Sunrise
Comment:
Made for Sarah, Down Under, who wanted something "simple, striking, strange and sad." Generally sad, though simple and strange to varying degrees, and with a decidedly indie slant. Title from the Femmes track. If you choose to follow the link, there's a space to be removed...Feedback:
Besides the Roky, Syd, Gavin & Nick, I do like the eels here and especially R.E.M. Looks great, Brother Funky...
14-1 fills me with delight. Great, great mix..
The girl must be alliterative. Does her last name start with the letter "S?" Lots to like on here.
Cool on track 21 - this site is like a Gavin Bryars festival lately.
Amazing, moving, and somehow still funky. Sarah will definitely enjoy this. Thanks for the dl.
Nice top to (ahem) bottom.
Nice. I used that Femmes line as a title once, as well (I think I called the mix "Laughing at the sunrise like he's been up all night.")
a little country I think but that's no problem at all
Most definitely likin' the look of this one.
This is terrific. I especially like the Oldham, Microphones, Daniel J, Horse Feathers, Vic, Spokane and the last track is an all time fave.
This is really beautiful and a real change of pace from everything you (and the GB brothers) have been doing lately. I think you saved the best for last, the final three are pristine. And I actually liked a Daniel Johnston tune!
This Sarah is a lucky lady. This is perfect mix.
