embryonic renovations
Comment:
People are equating the word "embryonic" with stem cell research, a hot button topic in modern times if ever there was one. Science wants to pursue all options - umbilical, placental and embryonic - as a pathway to stem cell cures, offering hope to the millions of people that suffer from life-threatening conditions. Right-to-Lifers take an opposing viewpoint on this ethical issue.Another usage for "embryonic" is to describe humankind's progression through time and space. As our species evolves, hopefully we gain wisdom along with knowledge. In the words of Gail Sheehy, "With each passage of human growth we must shed a protective structure [like a hardy crustacean]. We are left exposed and vulnerable - but also yeasty and embryonic again, capable of stretching in ways we hadn't known before."
With numerous challenges facing both our society and all civilization, it is time to look towards these embryonic renovations on our pathway to the future.
This mix comes to you from FoolThemAlland avocado rabbit. The songs have been renovated into a continuous mix or, if you prefer, individual tracks. And to win a copy with artwork, answer this quiz. The band Catatonia was originally known by what name?

Feedback:
Love that Kings of Leon track. The whole thing looks great - Mountain Goats, YLT, Lightning Seeds - nice!
Sondre Lerche is nice to see, but especially Nickel Creek & The Replacements.
Love that Scourge of the Sea track.
Bet you were pissed with Yo La Tengo eh Dean? 1, 4, 7, 8 and 11 are highlights. Oh and weren't they called Sweet Catatonia? International Velvet is a very underrated record TOO.
Barry has the correct answer, congratulations.
Dazzling in its entirety. Great work, guys!
Love just about every single one of these bands. Greeeat job! :D
Amazing job on the artwork and text. Loved doing this one with you.
Always happy to see Fool Them All on the boards. And Mr Rabbit of course, who as always has provided some spl'ndid artwork..
