There's a subtle science to these monthly mixes I do, that couldn't be achieved without the iTunes software. . .

I limit myself only to music I've added to my library within a years time. . . (so for this mix most tracks were added between April 1, 2007 and Mar 31, 2008.)

I also use key recognition software to find the key of each song, as well as their BPM, which definitely helps narrow down the possibilities. (I also trim the silence on the en ds of the tracks a bit to suit the mix better, but that doesn't transfer without my iTunes settings unfortunately. . .)

This month had a lot of new music as it was the first time I was down in Austin for SXSW, which was an absolute blast. . .
