Though he's probably best known for his score of the blaxploitation classic [i]Superfly[/i], perhaps Curtis Mayfield's most moving song was 1965's "People Get Ready." Understated even by his standards, the song carries a powerful message. So did the more heavily produced "(Don't Worry) If There's a Hell Below We're All Going To Go," yet another Mayfield classic in which no words were minced.
