I'm not in love with the modern world.

Artist Song
Viva Voce  Fashionably Lonely
Flobots  There's a War Going On for Your Mind
Wolf Parade  Modern World
The National  Mistaken for Strangers
Sleater-Kinney  Jumpers
The Strokes  Ize of the World
The Faint  The Geeks Were Right
Modest Mouse  We've Got Everything
The K!lls  What New York Used to Be
Joseph Arthur & the Lonely Astronauts  Sunrise Dolls
Andrew Bird  Dark Matter
Jenny Lewis  See Fernando
Aesop Rock  Basic Cable
Buck 65  1957
Gil Scott-Heron  Ain't No New Thing
Saul Williams  African Student Movement

A follow-up of sorts to an older mix of mine, we are all dying of consumption (the city sins). It came out a bit more conceptually scattershot than I'd expected, but I'm pretty pleased with the set and sequence of tracks. Thanks to Rob Conroy for the Buck 65 track and for turning me on to Gil Scott-Heron.

Liking the National and Sleater-Kinney cozied up together. Aesop is a scattershot lyricist. Also cool to see Portland, Oregon's own Viva Voce starting off a mix. Cheers.

The modern world has its plus and its minus, but having mixes like these and others here to listen to is a big plus.
