Comment:

I made this mix in 2008 to help me cope with losing Yankee Stadium. To me, and a lot of my buddies, this was a very tough time to learn that the organization was closing Yankee Stadium and building a new one across the street. It wasn't just a ballpark. I grew up going there. I had many good times there and I am sad to see it close. I played this mix while watching the final game at the Stadium on TV. I cried 2 separate times before the game even started. That week was a very emotional time for me. I felt like my childhood was officially over. Days later I would see my new girlfrie(nd) for the first time in a state I've never been to before (Minnesota). It was a big week. Obviously, this mix has songs dealing with changes, saying goodbye, moving on, not wanting to move on, and missing someone or something. This mix also doubles as a prom, graduation, and a mix to play to remember the good times. I'll never forget Yankee Stadium...and the girl from Minnesota that would later break my heart.

one of my biggest regrets (along with missing ATP NY 2008) will be never seeing the yanks in the cathedral. i'm a big fan and catch them every year when they play up here in toronto and i've made the trip to NY five times, but i've never made the pilgramige. a co-worker of mine spent 5 days in the city and caught a game at shea and at yankee stadium to bid adieu to both ballparks.

your a true fan to see the Bombers at Skydome, joatmon. Who would have thought the Yanks would shut it down? It's so crazy. The new place is probably going to be great at least.
