Comment:

"Lessons In Life" is the topic of this series of mixes having to do with words to live by in song. I asked several of my favorite mixing partners to each make a mix with me regarding this topic. The results will be seen (and heard) as ongoing posts in the next few weeks from the Ann Landers crew of AotM.

When we ask for advice, we are usually asking for an accomplice, and my first accomplice in dispensing advice is kmbone. The give-and-take between us became so seamless that, looking back, I have a hard time remembering who sele cted which track. It doesn't really matter. This is a very listenable mix, and one with a message, several in fact.

To win a copy of the mix, tracked in full sound and with artwork, you must answer the quiz. Which musician saw his career take off as the result of a second album produced by Joe Walsh?

Two downloads are available, the first for a continuous mix and the second for individual songs. The songs have been mastered in the continuous mix - the individual has simply the basic files.

Ha! I definitely know the answer to the quiz, but I'll let someone else get it. I swear I'm noticing a lot more life lessons in music after working on this mix. Great artwork!

great topic for a series. I am interested in seeing these as they come out. Plenty to love here. Bill Withers and Dan Fogelberg are undermixed favorites along with the usual suspects.

Nicely done. 3-4 is my favorite section. I hope to use this and the nine other volumes to turn my life around.

Lovely mix. Dan Fogelberg, may his soul rest in peace, is the answer to the quiz.
