Comment:

I may be one of the only people to make mixes to pay tribute to my favorite baseball team ever- the Yankees. This installment was made for the 2008 campaign. 2008 was big in Yankeeland. It was the last season to be played at the old Yankee Stadium. The Stadium hosted the 2008 All Star Game as well. "Here Come The Yankees" is the Yankees theme song that is played on radio and occasionally on TV. The next two tracks salute the Bronx, where the Yankees play. Seven-dust is on here because Johnny Damon claims them to be one of his favorite bands. The next two songs were Derek Jeter's plate music throughout the season. He favors rap songs for his at-bats. As does Alex Rodriguez who loves to come up to bat to the sound of MIM's anthem. "Pa La Tumba" is to salute Melky Cabrera and Robinson Cano- who were actually in the music video for this song. Melky enjoys reggaeton music, as I do. "Shout At The Devil" is a song played while Joba Chamberlain warms up his arm before pitching. Both Gangbang Songs are different versions around the same funny/raunchy theme. This is to salute the Bleacher Creatures of Section 39 who make up their own versions based on these songs. It's very funny. "All Star" is on because Yankee Stadium was the site of the 2008 MLB All Star Game. Tracks 15-17 were to remind me that Yankee Stadium was going to close and a new one would go next door. This is the start of where I got the idea to make a separate mix based on that theme.

I'm a Red Sox fan but I won't hold that against your mix. It looks to be very well done.

I'd like to suggest a couple additional songs for the Yankees and especially Alex Rodriguez, Jason Giambi, Roger Clemens and the rest of the boys.

Corey Harris "Basehead"
Queens of the Stone Age "Medication"
Paul Burch and The Ballclub "Hitting Bottom"

hahaahahaha avocado rabbits comment just made me laugh. Yankees try to monopolize baseball, and it makes me sick. But people are free to root for whomever they choose.
