Comment:

I was born in 1985, but I don't remember the 80s glam metal scene at the time. I was on the playground! Nevertheless, I like 80s glam rock. I don't like all the bands that permeated the scene. As a headbanger, Quiet Riot, Skid Row, Crue, and Guns N Roses will always be cool. I am not a big Poison fan- in fact I kinda think they suck but this mix would be incomplete without a Poison song. Ditto for Def Leppard- although this is the only song I enjoy by them. "Rock Of Ages" is a damn good song. Ratt, Bon Jovi, and Scorpions are alright. This is a soundtrack to Saturday nights. After all, what's cooler than partying, sex, drugs, and rock n roll?

Truly brings back extremely fond memories of those ozone-depleting days of yore! :) I was actually born in 1973 - yeah, I'm a fossil, I know! - and I remember having subscriptions to Hit Parader and Circus in my high-school days way back in the late '80s, in which I read about practically every band you've included here! (Although I eventually upgraded to RIP in the early '90s when Seattle became big!)

I must say that this is a really good overall representation of the '80s metal years. However...it's perhaps a bit on the standard side. It's got pretty much every single song you'd naturally expect from each individual band, with not much in the way of deviation or deep cuts.

On the plus side, however, it's certainly refreshing to see Motley's Dr. Feelgood instead of the usual suspects from Shout At The Devil or Theatre Of Pain. And it's certainly cool to see Bon Jovi's Runaway here instead of the played-to-death blockbusters from Slippery When Wet! And kudos for including the underrated Great White ballad Save Your Love.

Is glam metal the same as hair metal? Now I want to bring on the blow dryers and play air guitar to this mix!

I am more a 70s glam rock fan, but every era deserves a tribute and you have done a fine one.
