holy smokes - this is truly dazzling. eschete from the ethiopiques series? territories i've been meaning to explore. guilty of stealing a couple mixes back myself over the years, you did the world a great service saving it from it's dumb boy dubbing-over-it destiny.
wow... this looks really really good. esp. with 'academy fight song' and 'history lesson part 2' and 'sugarcube' and liliput and... well... a lot more. and the stuff i've never heard sounds damn interesting too. (and the kid didn't appreciate it? i hate that for you.)
anyone who trashes him means i don't have to, thus retaining a stitch of dignity. so thanks everyone! yes, eshete is from ethiopiques 9, which is worth skipping lunch for. as for los cubanos postizos, all i know is that it's one of the more recent marc ribot projects. i think he described it as garage band does cuban music.
