Wow! This is really cool! :-) :-) :-) I'm actually a tad more familiar with the songs here than on most of your later mixes.
I love the placing of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart and New Order's Dreams Never En-d back-to-back. Absolutely seamless transition (and a highly appropriate one)!
Some classic '80s new wave, rock and pop here. I've never been a huge Go-Go's fan, but I've always got time for We Got The Beat! I love The Bangles' version of Hazy Shade Of Winter, and I like your picks from Joan Jett, The Clash, Billy Idol, U2, Tom Petty and The Cars as well. (Frankly, I find Joan Jett's cover of Do You Wanna Touch infinitely preferable to the Gary Glitter original, which these days just kind of creeps me out! Ha, ha, ha...)
That Pixies song Where Is My Mind? was actually the first song by that band that I became really familiar with, having heard it during the en-d credits of Fight Club and really liked it a lot!
And Blondie's Hanging On The Telephone and the Preten-ders' Talk Of The Town make for a perfect closing duo! :-)
