Comment:

This mix represents about 12% of 202 songs that I checked out from my frie_nd Jim's collection. Most of the mix focuses on the 1960-1969 period, but track fourteen was ahead of its time, and because it originated in 1954, and R&B had yet to be a cross over phenomena, it didn't appear in the white pop ch_arts. Track 8 was originally released in 1957 (so the track used here was either from that year or was a re-issue, I'm not sure which at this point). I'm quite pleased with how this particular mix came out and hope you enjoy it as well. The length of the mix is 62m20s. The image is of Joe Tex.

Haven't heard many of these, but the Mary Wells track is a gem.
