Comment:

Today's elimination:
Van Halen - Fair Warning (1981) (#166 - 5/11/09)

Automatic Blues < Slice Of Your Pie - Both Sonic Temple and Dr. Feelgood were Bob Rock's big productions of 1989, and both of these songs had a very similar swaggering groove to them, so I thought they'd go together quite naturally. Incidentally, the coda to the Motley number pays homage to The Beatles' I Want You (She's So Heavy)!

Underwater Love < Divine Wind < Blow Out - My "Good Luck Trinity" strikes again with another killer trifecta! :-)

I Want To Hold Your Hand / Rock And Roll All Nite - Two classic rock 'n' roll numbers bookending DISC #2. Amazing to think that I haven't actually gotten around to using either of them until now, right?? [*wink*]

Fortune Teller (X 2) - The Who and the Stones cover Benny Spellman! (I know that Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have done a version, but I actually have yet to hear it! Oh well, one of these days...)
