Comment:
Well, it's a quadruple-elimination today!:Suede - Dog Man Star (1994) (#167 - 5/13/09)
The Sweet - Desolation Boulevard (1975) (#167 - 5/13/09)
Peter Hammill - The Silent Corner And The Empty Stage (1974) (#167 - 5/13/09)
Screaming Trees - Dust (1996) (#167 - 5/13/09)
Ball Baby < Thou Shalt Not < Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da < Black Or Blue < Son And Daughter < A.C.D.C. - The kickoff sequence of six is actually some unfinished business left over from three mixes ago! Remember that sequence of Tracks 10-24 on DISC #1 of PAZUZU MIX #164? Well, most of what's in this particular sequence didn't make the cut for lack of space, so I'm including them here! :-)
Mission (X 2) / Morning Bell (X 2) - Multiple incarnations - or reprises, if you will...
Morning Bell < Unknown Tongue < Edge Of The World - Ladies and gentleman, once again I give you...Radiohead...Blue Oyster Cult...Faith No More...together again!! :-) :-) :-) This is my third mix straight in which I've sequenced songs by these particular three bands together, and in my opinion it's a highly winning combination that I'm reluctant to separate!
It's Alright - A 1992 live performance of Guns N' Roses covering Black Sabbath - or rather, Axl on vocals and piano covering the ballad sung by drummer Bill Ward on 1976's Technical Ecstasy! (This performance was actually a sort of prelude to the band's performance of November Rain.)
Hot House Of Omagararshid - Rock journalist Chuck Eddy had a very funny way of describing this Yardbirds (w / Jeff Beck) instrumental. I don't quite remember the quote exactly, but it was something to the effect that it sounded "like the bleeps and bloops your tropical fish might emit after spinning too much Bo Diddley"!
Learning To Fly < Learn To Fly - I needn't explain this, do I? [*wink*]
Feedback:
hey deffinitly a solid mix you got their. its the slow version of wave of mutilation also. not a big fan of the fast version even though thats on there cd
This is like Mixing with the Stars with all the eliminations. Who will be left dancing, I mean playing?
