Comment:

Title courtesy of Steven Tyler, by the way! ;-)

Well, as you can no doubt gather, I've just recently completed my collection of soundtracks to everything either Quentin Tarantino-directed or Quentin Tarantino-related! (I've had the soundtracks to "Natural Born Killers," "Pulp Fiction," the two "Kill Bill"s, and "Death Proof" for a while now, and I've only just recently added "Reservoir Dogs," "True Romance," "From Dusk Till Dawn," "Jackie Brown" and "Inglourious Basterds" to my set - as well as the soundtrack to Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City.")

"Damage Case" (X 2) - Metallica's cover of an early Motorhead classic - with James Hetfield quite amusingly flubbing a few words! - as well as the Motorhead original!

"Cat People (Putting Out The Fire)" (X 2) - The 1982 David Bowie classic (originally from the 1982 Paul Schrader film version of "Cat People") as well as a menacingly heavy cover version from Danzig!

"21st Century Breakdown" / "See The Light" - The title track from the new Green Day disc, as well as the closing track. I figured they were "bookenders," so I used both of them in a similar fashion. (Thereby marking an exemption from my "no two tracks by same artist" rule.)

One elimination today (#212 - 9/18/09):
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - "Safe As Milk" (1967) (And I'm only counting the tracks from the album's original version, not the bonus tracks from the CD re-issue.)
