Comment:

"Cry, Cry" < "Cry Baby" / "Cry Baby" - I decided to use two songs by Cheap Trick (thereby breaking my usual no-two-songs-by-same-artist rule) because 1994's "Cry Baby" is sort of the son of 1977's "Cry, Cry." In addition, singer Robin Zander impersonates Elvis Presley and quotes from "Heartbreak Hotel" at the end of both songs. And no, Cheap Trick's "Cry Baby" is not a cover of the Janis Joplin classic, but that song does feel like it may possibly have been an influence...

Today's eliminations (#224 - 10/29/09):
Blitzspeer - "Blitzspeer Saves" (1991)
Jerry Cantrell - "Boggy Depot" (1998)

I honestly can't make out anything on that Blue Oyster Cult mix- track 10- cause I would have googled the lyrics. It's got a mid tempo beat. I got it now, I listened more closely. The song is "Transmaniacon MC" Thanks anyway dude. rock on.
