Comment:
Bob Dylan grew up in Hibbing, MN before moving to Minneapolis. He then moved to New York City. I use Hibbing, MN as symbolism for the second place he lived; for the second mix I made with his music; and this mix has mid period and fairly recent Bob Dylan music. "Catfish" starts off this mix. Bob Dylan wrote this about Catfish Hunter, the great pitcher who was on the Yankees for awhile. It always makes me wonder. Bob Dylan I see from some sources that he's a Yankee fan but he was born in Minnesota. Why isn't he a Twins fan? I am curious because I am a big, huge Yankees fan. This mix has songs from all over his career, but MOSTLY from the mid to late period of his career. As I said on the first Bob Dylan mix, I got into Bob Dylan's music mostly after I broke up with my girlfriend from Minnesota. I was heartbroken, angry, and confused. I'm not gonna get much into it, but it's her fault. She cheated on me and ignored me at the end. I visited her in Minnesota and I had one of the best weekends of my life. There's a small, tiny part of me, under the bitterness, that misses her. I think that shows that the love I had for her was so deep. This is why I can partly relate to the song "If you see her, say hello" I love Minneapolis as a city still. I was the happiest man in the world when my Yankees beat the twins in the 2009 ALDS. Then 2 series later and the Yankees won the World Series. It felt awesome.
