Comment:

I made this CD for a friend's birthday. The theme of this genre-spanning CD is that all the vocalists are female, so it's not a terribly difficult or elaborate theme.

Yes women! They do not get enough airplay at all unless they are tarted up. Listen to any radio station and tally the number of women played VS the number of men in an hour, especially jazz, rock, and blues, "oldies"... the new dance trash has plenty o tarty girls that get airplay but they are no good. I just did a whole month of women on my 10 Songs Blog for woman's history month. You have Charolette Gainsburough! Though I was hoping to see Francoise Hardy. And my favorite Glady Knight track of all time! Go! But no Carole King other than she wrote the Shirelles song. I am also pleased that you recognize that Aretha did more than just Respect.
