Heavy Metal should have its own Category on Art Of The Mix. This mix has 2 bands: Mastodon and Sentenced. Mastodon starts things because I like them more than Sentenced. This is mostly early era Mastodon with rarities and such. Their meandering, lumbering heavy as fuck guitars mesh well with the burtal and hauntingly beautiful and chaotic melodies. Their drummer is probably one of the top 5 drummers in the metal game now. I enjoy Mastodon a lot. Next up is Sentenced. Sentenced rules. I love their depressing songs because thats how I feel at times. They made some great songs and its tragic that they are not a band anymore. The Cold White Light album is a very good album. Listen to it. Their songs speak to me and help me out.
