Today is my birthday and this is my yearly birthday mix. It's a collection of favorite songs from the past twelve months interspersed with a thematic twist,some personal insider notes and a token birthday song. This year's landmark theme is "10s". VERSION NOTE: In my first draft of this mix I had Modest Mouse's "Workin' On Leavin' The Livin'" in place of tracks 01 and 02.. it flowed oh so perfectly! But then I realized that I had put that song on the last mix I made. In any case, it gave me the opportunity to put in another subtle reference to the number 10 and the aforementioned token birthday song. Yeah, the cover has a slight casino feel to it, but that too goes along well with the "four tens" theme. Overall, I am rather pleased as to how well balanced this mix turned out to be.
