This mix was created more than 4 years ago sometime. I was in a rut, music wise. I wanted to find new artists and hear new, different music than I was used to. Naturally, I asked a fellow music fan of mine, my ex. She suggested all the bands on this mix so I decided to go with it. Well her taste in music was certainly more indie and a bit lighter than me at the time at least. She liked these spacey acoustic and frankly, more out there bands. At the time I was very into heavy metal- the real heavy and raw and happening metal scene happening in the mid decade- In Flames, Lamb Of God, KSE, Soilwork, and so on. So yeah, this certainly was different but mostly in a good way. I liked most of the bands and was intrigued. I dig Dismemberment Plan and Neutral Milk Hotel but Iron And Wine I'm not feeling. I guess this was the start of me branching out to more indie music, and not just indie metal, but indie rock and punk and alt. She liked Bad Religion and some other punk so she was down. We also went to an Ozzfest together. She want to a really smart school far from home and now we dont talk anymore. She stopped talking to me sorta. Our convos went nowhere so I ceased our friendship. Sometimes I miss her. She was beautiful and for a brief while she was all mine. Sometimes I get sad but I can't change it. I'd rather have none of her, if I can't have her all.
