This is the first cassette mix I've ever made. I created it for my boyfriend who leaves on the East Coast. I live on the West Coast. A lot of these songs like the Pantera songs, choosing the OC Theme song, Third Eye Blind, sneaking in a Sailor Moon Theme song are all a nod to things relevant to our relationship and inside jokes.

Side A begins with a voicemail my boyfriend left prior to me coming to visit for the first time saying "I hope you make your plane ok. I can't wait to see you. Can't believe you're coming here."
Right before the track "California" by Phantom Planet a soundbite of the first time Marissa tells Ryan on the OC she loves him for the first time plays, then it dives into the OC theme song.
Side A ends with a voicemail he left watching my plane leave the East Coast.

Side B features the Sailor Moon theme song.
Side B tape ends with a voicemail he left saying he's glad I came to visit and he can't wait to come to California.

I'm sending him this tape a few days before he flies out to visit California.
