| from A Guide for the Daylight Hours ...This track is the reason behind the name of this playlist. It's a dumb story really: It was the Sunday before classes resumed after fall break. I wasn't in the best of moods when I returned to school, and this one friend of mine didn't help that at all. In fact he exacerbated it in every respect without meaning to. Probably just by existing. We were in love, like really in love, and went separate ways with no closure. I missed us. He provided me with about a fifth of a bottle of yukon jack and we traded swigs in a melancholy fashion, and that junk messes me up. And then, finally, for no good reason at all, I started thinking about this song, which reminds me of the very first boy I fell in love with, but that's a sad, painfully self-aware story for another time. It was just another Sunday night in college, really. It ended with broken bottles and stealing things I don't remember. Just another Sunday night. | ||
