Comment:
Well, Eric's having another classy little get-together tonight, so I spent the past few hours putting the music together. Some of these songs have appeared on past mixes, but they're the ones that people still want to hear.Songs 1, 2, 4, 9, and 19 are for my best friend Bo. I included two Misfits songs because I know he's been listening to them a lot lately. We saw them live at Southgate in Newport last October. Jerry Only pointed at the "two kids in the balcony" and dedicated "Saturday Night" to them. Now, I can't be 100% sure, but we were smack in the center, and before he said it, he looked my way and smiled, so I think he was talking about us. There weren't any other pairs of males and females nearby, either. So that's kinda cool :).
I'm trying really hard to get Eric into Hercules and Love Affair. I put "Blind" on a past party mix, and now I'm trying to get his attention with another of their songs. He's a fan of Antony Hegarty, at least :).
And, as for track 20, it's the version Damien played on his Circle Bar album. I wish he'd release more of his live stuff...that album has some really good versions of his songs.
So, we'll see if this makes for a good party mix!
Feedback:
Oh, also, I think "Reckoner" kind of sticks out. I put it on the CD because I've been watching a ton of Sam Rockwell movies lately, and I've never listened to Radiohead as much as I know I should. ("Reckoner" plays over the credits for the movie Choke.)
Everything with an edge.
