The Doors. Oh man, I don't really listen to them much anymore. Listening to this mix again, perhaps I should. They lay down a good groove on their songs. Either that groove is bouncy and cocksure like "Light My Fire" or "Twentieth Century Fox" or some of their more cerebral, hauntingly beautiful numbers like "Riders Of The Storm" Jim, and possibly Ray, make this band. Jim's vocals and lyrics are poetic and sensual and also eerie at times. In a way I like them like I like the Beatles but I like the Beatles a lot, lot more. you know what I mean?
