Comment:
This is a concept mix I thought about at work the other day. I wanted to make a mix featuring metal bands. The catch? 1. they have to be considered true metal by me 2. they gotta be bands I think about first when I think of heavy metal. I wanted to make two mixes using the same bands but different song styles and eras by each band. This was not a strict rule but rather a guide. I also changed the order of the bands around. Also, I wanted to NOT include the usual songs I know by bands. Instead of choosing "Battery" like I always do for Metallica, I chose "Master of Puppets". Less popular too. The lack of hits here and on the second disc are glaring. This was intentional. On this Chapter 1, the order was the bands I consider the most "metal" first. Sabbath created the genre yes but Priest and Maiden are the epitome of metal for me; of what metal embodies. HEAVY FUCKING METAL!
