This idea was in fruition on the actual 4th of July this year. I had the idea of a mix I could play on the 4th Of July. For this mix I wanted: protest songs, song that remind me of the 4th of July, songs with American or USA in the song title, and uptempo songs. Also, you'll notice all of the bands on this mix are American rock bands.This was intentional. Now, I am far from xenophobic but I wanted a truely American mix with an American vibe and I wanted to salute some of the greatest bands in American rock history. What I feel about America can be neatly summed up in "Merican" by Descendents- there's good and there's bad. I wanted the tracklisting to reflect that.
