This mix was originally submitted to Zen Running Order on April 19, 2010. The original notes and comments are as follows:

Darth Pazuzu (04-19-2010):
"As long as the music's loud enough, we won't hear the world falling apart! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!"

Well, from the looks of things here, it looks like Halloween came about six months early this year. This certainly would make a very effective Halloween mix (especially toward the end of Disc #1 and the middle of Disc #2), but it just so happens that it's out of season. Oh well, you can't control what time of the month certain inspirations strike, I suppose...

Well, as you can see, I've gotten myself quite a handful of soundtrack discs lately! (If you're wondering why it's taken so long since my last mix, that's because it took a while for the discs that I ordered to come in!) As you can see here, I included songs here from the soundtracks to "Performance" (1970), "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975), "Jubilee" (1977) (two!), "Crimes Of Passion" (1984), "The Return Of The Living Dead" (1985) (also two!), and "Twin Peaks (Season One)" (1990). Also, there are some tracks from other soundtracks discs that I've had for a while now, "Blade Runner" (1982) and "I'm Not There" (2007)...

I also recently picked up the soundtrack discs to "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) and "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" (1979), so expect to see tracks from those show up on mixes in the future. And coming soon...the soundtracks for "Shock Treatment" (1981) and "Caravaggio" (1986). So stay tuned and don't you touch that dial, my pretties! ;)

"Partytime (Zombie Version)" > "Fight For Your Right" - I trust this particular pairing requires absolutely no explanation whatsoever? ;)

"Hang On To Your Life" - "They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion / I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint / My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels / My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws / And thou hast brought me into the dust of death" (Psalm 22)

doowad {04-19-2010):
I love the title track for many reasons and like seeing Mellencamp, Zombies, Cohen & The Guess Who on one of your mixes

Mr. Mirage (04-19-2010):
Lots on here I love deeply, like the opener and the closer.

Funky Ratchet (04-20-2010):
Some great soundtrack picks, particularly the Roky.
