#247 - Flow, Morpheus, Flow, Let The Sun And Light Come Streaming Into My Life
Comment:
This mix was originally submitted to Zen Running Order on May 26, 2010. The original notes and/or comments are as follows...Darth Pazuzu (05-26-2010):
(I only just now noticed that my mix comes right after Texas Hobart's latest mix, "Blow Wind Blow." I know that rhymes with "Flow, Morpheus, Flow," but I honestly swear that it was a happy accident!)
"Touch Me" / "Take It As It Comes" - A pair of Doors covers.
"Beautiful Dangerous" / "Ultra Payloaded Satellite Party" - I must admit to not really being a fan of the Black-Eyed Peas (and I honestly couldn't hum one of their numbers all the way through), but I've always got space for Stacy Ferguson! :) (Incidentally, "Ultra Payloaded Satellite Party" relates to the Doors sequence, because at one point Perry Farrell quotes the famous opening line from "Touch Me"!)
"Not Fakin' It" - Yes, that is a Nazareth cover, as well as the title track from Hanoi Rocks frontman Michael Monroe's '89 solo album!
"You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)" < "Sgt. Pepper Inner Groove" - "Good evening, and welcome to Slagger's...Let's hear it for Dennis O'Bell!" And after "You Know My Name," I tacked on the so-called "Inner Groove" which appeared at the tail-end of the British version of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," as a homage to the American "Rarities" compilation, where both tracks also appear at the end!

The Doors' covers look interesting. Funny about your title after Texas'.
