Comment:
Well, it's been 6 years since I've been here. Life's been kinda distracting, y'know how it is. But I've really been on a roll lately making iTunes mixes (that I record into CDs for car trip listening) that I'm getting high mileage out of. They're the usual blend of pop, rock, new and old music, taken from various songs and/or albums I've recently discovered or was just really in the mood to re-visit. ..."Married Life" has tenure in my mixology since it's basically "our song" between my wife and I, and it complements summertime beautifully I think. ..."We Used to Be Friends" and "Ends of the Earth" are both from TV shows I was plowing through back in June, specifically "Veronica Mars" obviously and the final, sublime episode of "Community" season 6. ..."Any Day Now" I culled from "Inherent Vice" ..."Ryan's Song" of course is from "Boyhood" ...tracks by The Kinks, ELO, Violent Femmes, Warren Zevon, and Bob Dylan are highlights of album-by-album chronological journeys I'm making through each artists' discography. That's where I happen to be at this point with each of them (mid-80's, mostly)
