Lush, heartbreaking pop at its best, rivalling the Beach Boys in the above category. Yes, the entire "Odessey (sic) and Oracle" album is included here... like Astral Weeks on my recently revised Van Morrison comp (this note is being revised on 5/3/08), I couldn't pick a song that could, in good conscience, be deleted. I made a point, however, to add in my favorite early singles, which are often underrated in comparison with "Oracle," as well as an album track or two from their first record, Being Here, and a couple of additional tracks from the unreleased third album. As indicated above, this mix was revised on 4/30/08, with several tracks left (unfortunately) on the cutting-room floor: "I Can't Make Up My Mind," "I Don't Want to Know," "Goin' Out of My Head" and "Summertime."
