About a week ago, I got the Stanley Kubrick box set on DVD, and promptly popped in 2001: A Space Odessey. Watching this movie is probably the closest I've come to a religious experience! It just blows me away every time! And now it's 2001, and we are nowhere near the future Mr. Kubrick envisioned for us. Kinda disappointing, huh? No, not really. Sir Kubrick presented us with an extraordinary masterpiece, and that is better than all the black monoliths Jupiter could possibly send us.

Nice concept. Not your everyday "Space Cowboy" & "Man on the Moon" stuff either. I like. Watch out, I'm working on a "best of Kubrick soundtracks" mix. That'll be a religious experience.
