Comment:

This is a mix with a purpose but not a theme. Basically, it's stuff for this summer, which is the summer after high school. It expects top-down driving, hanging out, and all kinds of unlimited-freedom stuff going on. You may have noticed that I repeat several bands: basically, I didn't own enough jangly power pop to fill this out, and it's sort of the soul of this tape. Also, the ridiculously obvious choices from a couple of artists are intentional: I want to be able to sing along with every song on this album. I think the second side was a lot more successful, and I'm quite proud of a couple of the segues there. Also, you can probably tell that that side's meant to get a little more raucous than the first. Anyway, it won't change your life, but it's some good fun.
