too twee to live or eternal naifs with an uncanny knack for classic pop? you make the call. "hurricane fighter plane" is a red crayola cover (before the "k" replaced the "c" in "crayola", mind you), and i was always somewhat flabbergasted that these cuddly glaswegians would even attempt a cover of this texas psychrock classic, let alone pull it off so well). "god" (you know: the ball of golden light, the puppy or the black lesbian version, take your pick) smiles down upon the pastels, i just now it.
