Comment:
I was feeling wierd today and decided to put this in the car...many of these songs are standards on my mix tapes. Number 10 & 11 on side two go nicely together...I realized afterwards that I did that on another tape! Well, if it works once... Many of these songs are fun (to me anyhow...) and remind me of summer. It will be nice to have when I have to drive alone for three hours to camp next month!!! Um...and I know I put in Joey McIntyre, but his new CD is kinda cool, believe it or not...(well, better than the last anyhow!) and I was at the right age to think he was a hottie when NKOTB was popular! LOL! So make fun if you must...A friend laughed about the whole Elton John/Dead Milkmen thing, but the tape is for me, and I can appriciate the wierdness of it!Feedback:
ERRR>..I meant 9 and 10...Edie Brickell and REM...those are the two that go nicely together! I never put On The Road Again on a mix tape before...but it WAS one of my favorites when I was like 4....
Looks like one I'd make. Approved!
did you by any chance get to catch the nkotb true hollywood story? i swear it's a religious experience.
No, I completely forgot it was on!!! ERRR! I even meant to watch it!
Hey Amanda! Nice to see you outside the Cafe! That's awesome that you like Dead Milkmen, they were my favorite band for many many years.
LOL...hey Shoop! Thanks for the link...this is too much fun! :)
wow...this is...eclectic. Really cool and far out and full of devil may car risks. Y'know what? I'd take Joey McIntyre over Dave Matthews any day...
devil may "care"...sorry
LOL...me too! This is by far not the best song on his CD, either! I onlt recently started listening to DMB, because it reminds me of a party I was at on vacation...
Ani DiFranco and Marvin Gaye right next to each other? Wanna trade?
Yes, please!!! I would love to trade!
Bah. That Tiny Dancer song is the best thing Elton ever wrote and nothing to be ashamed of. I love it's melodrama and completely depressing lyrics. :p
Nice mix...and I DO love the Elton/Milkmen transition.
Nice mix...and I DO love the Elton/Milkmen transition.
Actually...I suppose Bernie wrote it...so I should be applauding him instead.
LOL...the Elton/Dead Milkmen thing really DID work...and the Elton song is one of the whole 3 I like by him...LOL!
Got the mix today, I'm listening to it for the second time right now. Tomorrow, I'm bringing it to work. Which you should be proud of yourself because another mix has been in there for a week now. "It's Hard To Meditate When On Amphetamines" - best mix I've ever listened to. But I'm gonna give yours a shot tomorrow! I'll let you know how things turn out. Great job!
WOW! Thanks!
