this started out as a california vs. new york thing that eventually evolved into something a little sweeter and poppier (and folkier, too) ....this one is for summer, who's way away from me in san diego. there were a lot more artists that i started with, but so it goes...title comes from the Dar song of the same name, which is meant to be a sort of bonus track.
'it's the rhythm of the rain that falls, it's a cab ride at 5am, manhattan goddess with your levi's and curls, new york city i'm comin' home again....'

My kind of music. What's fun is seeing artists who are clearly New York (ex. Rufus Wainwright) singing about California, and vice versa. I would suggest mixing the more acoustic stuff (Eddie From Ohio and Dar) in with the plugged in stuff to give the whole mix a more textured flow. Also, some jazzy piano ballads would add well to this mix.

wow,. wonderful mix, eclectic artists as well, cali vs. new york- there's no reason to compare, they each hold their own (tho i live in ny and i love it...) but i have been to cali and it's phat as well...really sweet mix-- if possible, can i trade?
