Comment:
slug were based in los angeles and existed in the early-to-mid-1990's. they were incredible. perhaps the second-finest L.A. band of the decade (second only to the geraldine fibbers in my book), they achieved a intensity and volume-level that most noisemakers only dream of. live shows around town were equally devastating, with the 14-minutes (and often plus) "swingers" being a highlight of their sets. i don't know if these guys were all that well known outside of los angeles, but anyone who loves a good wall o' sound and bucketloads of fuzz/distortion/drone-overload should really try and track some of their stuff down. they disbanded in about 1997, and i miss 'em terribly...truly a great, great band...Feedback:
ohhhh.... 'sniff' 'sniff'.... i miss L.A. damn... this brings back memories of shows at the Jabberjaw... days at the Museum... and drunk nights in summer L.A. air....
