this is a mix i made for jessica last month! which i still haven't sent, because i am a terrible, terrible person. that said, i've listened to this a lot and i still smirk in that obnoxious self-satisfied way when it ends. my discomfort with blank space at the end led me to recruit my favorite 56-second song to close the tape on a hopeful note. (and i'm sorry, geoff farina, that i only ever seem to use you as filler.)

no saddle creek on this one either, of course, but hey! -- athens is represented eight thoroughly enjoyable times. the title comes courtesy of the boyish charms.
