Comment:
LisaTape #2. Made at the close of her exams to act as a buffer zone between end of exam hysteria and what-am-I-going-to-now? worries. Not sure as to it's success, I think I spent too long on it and maybe killed it. First side ("Angels with Dirty Faces") is a homage to my taste for varied punk (from Classic to Dodgy, baby), but it gets lost somewhere in the middle of the Undertones track and becomes a summer-is-gonna-be-great thing, which sort of continues on the second side (called "I fall in love with the light"). The Nick Drake track at the end is overlayed by my dodgy whisperings of a Derek Mahon poem which is utterly fabulous (when I'm not whispering it) and which inspired the tape's title.
Feedback:
it's a success, and the whispered Derek Mahon-ness even more so. you rockstar, you.
Any mix that contains Love, the Staple Singers, the Undertones, and Nick Drake is really cool. Great job.
Very nice
