Comment:
I made this tape for my very good friend Charlotte, who I only recently started hanging out with again, after about 5 years. We went to high school together (she was a year younger) and we sort of went our separate ways after I graduated. I chose most of the songs on this tape for some specific reason. Stuff like Liz Phair, Violent Femmes and the Steeler's Wheel song are reminiscences of high school. The Matthew Sweet, Travis and Fountains of Wayne songs have messages pertaining to her high school sweetheart (and one of my good friends), who she's still sort of hung up on after 5 years. The others have messages I thought were pertinent to our "rekindled friendship" or to her recent release from an abusive relationship.Feedback:
Nightswimming is one of the best songs ever, and reminds me of high school to this very day!
Wow, I put Nightswimming on a mix for a girl named Charlotte once....
I put that one because she hated REM in high school, until I gave her a tape of Document. She told me that everytime she listens to them she thinks of that ;)
Ooo, good stuff! REM, Ben Lee... and where'd you find that BNL cover?
