On the three [i]Quiet[/i] tracks featured here, Chandra strays into Laurie Anderson territory and dispenses with words altogether, instead using her voice as a melodic and percussive instrument. "Shakti (The Meaning of Within)" fuses new wave with dance music, giving it a South Asian spin. And on her "Lagan Love/Nada Brahma," Chandra takes a beloved Irish folk song and weds it to an Indian track that translates to "Sound Is God." Quite so.
