Comment:
A mix tape that I made for a friend of mine at work. The title, a reference to the Christopher Walken skit on Saturday Night Live; "Behind the Music: Blue Oyster Cult" at the classic recording session of "Don't Fear The Reaper" (..."I got a fever. And the only perscription is...more cowbell")...as that whole skit is now apart of the running jokes that my friends and I all share :-D It's good fun :) Musically, I tried to keep with some sort of melodic flow, and as side B ends with Cat Power, it goes right back with Belle & Sebastian...the techno-ish ending of that song makes it easier to go right into the Air, Cibo Matto, and Bis songs...And that was just way to information...sorry! :-D
Feedback:
All well and good, but how could you leave out "Don't Fear the Reaper"???
That's what I was thinking!
Check out Jay Mohr doing Chris Walken, he pulls that line out on Stephen Lynch's new CD.
uhm dude, where did you get that copy of 'go home'? ...do i owe you tapes from way back when? probably. kick me in the ass sometime ok? <3
try the lounge version of 'don't fear the reaper' by Prozak For Lovers. It's well executed, and it saves you the embarassment of dropping the transmission in the middle of a mix by going all 70's :)
