A well-earned compilation of material from 90's indie-rock goddess/Simple Machines label honcho Jenny Toomey... Most of the songs are taken from her albums with Tsunami, with a smattering from side projects Grenadine and Liquorice... Well outside the mainstream, Miss Toomey writes and plays with as much ability, spirit, intelligence and emotional honesty as any riot grrrl the 90's had to offer. Both Tsunami and the Simple Machines label have been defunct for a few years now, and Miss Toomey has been absent from the music scene ever since (if anyone knows otherwise please email me and let me know!)... She is much missed... This far-from-comprehensive comp. of personal favorites is my tribute.
