what's a false duet?
The false duet was a thing I think some country DJ cooked up a coupla years ago. He took the original "When You Say Nothing At All" by Keith Whitley and spliced in alternating lines from Alison Krauss' remake done much later (after Keith died, I think, but I'm not sure). Anyway, it's a duet now, sort of, like Natalie Cole and her dad singing "Unforgettable." The only difference here is that they didn't take just the vocal track like Cole did, but took all of the tracks. They're almost at exactly the same tempo. Then they "sing together" in the chorus. So back and forth it goes. It's kinda interesting.
